This year for my Thanksgiving tablescape I decided to use vibrant fall colors. In years past I’ve done more monochromatic but like to switch it up from year to year. I chose yellows, orange, peach and natural wood elements in my floral arrangements.
My Favorite Holiday Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I absolutely love decorating for it. Most of my family comes for dinner and it is so nice to have everyone together. My brother lives in Florida so I don’t get to see him often. My mom now divides her time between mine and my sister’s house. It’s really bittersweet because my father and father in law died a few years back and we miss them so much. Change is the one constant but sometimes it is so hard to accept. I just cherish the time I do get to spend with my loved ones now and always get a little depressed when everyone leaves.
I love green flowers so had to add them to the arrangement. Hydrangeas are another favorite, but I don’t use them too often because they don’t seem to last very long. To add a little more depth I added the beautiful burgundy flowers.
Orange and green drip less candles add to the festive feel. I purchased them last year marked down at Target.
Traditional colors dominate the center basket with yellows, oranges and browns. My father loved birds so I always like to add that element and love the natural fabrics.
This arrangement I did for my powder room with the peach rose that stands out.
