For a weekend shopping and dinner I chose this navy blue blazer with distressed jeans and a graphic tee. Love graphic tees under blazers. It completes a casual look.
The blazer and tee I got from TJ Maxx. I also pair the blazer with a gray turtleneck or a burgundy cami. Blazers are great when the temperature goes up and down. Just slip it off when it gets too warm. I have several more in my closet that I need to style with pieces I have not used with them before.
The shoes are Nine West from DSW. As far as heels go, they are very comfortable and add a little something extra to an outfit. For a pop of color, I chose a skinny orange belt that completes the look.
For a date night recently I wore this cream color vest with a black turtleneck and black slim pants. The turtleneck is so comfortable and is from Ann Taylor Outlet. Previously I had only worn this vest in the spring. But adding this wrap around belt I purchased from Stein Mart gave it a different look.
Winter Date Night Outfit Accessories
For a pop of color I added the Nine West leopard print heels. I purchased them a couple of years back at DSW in Dallas while visiting a friend. The necklace was a birthday gift from a friend which I love and goes well with most everything. But I think the best accessory a girl can have is a Pomeranian! Meka is my baby and loves attention. So she decided she needed to be on Mommy’s blog too.
For an evening out with girlfriends this past weekend, I chose a black velvet cut out top with distressed jeans. It was loose fitting so it was good at hiding the holiday weight gain. And I love the cut out designs on it along with the bell sleeves. In addition I added a pink clutch by BCBG. For the shoes, I chose a pair of block heels which as far as heels are concerned are very comfortable. I have several pairs of summer shoes with the same heel and they are the ones I reach for the most. The necklace is extra long and looks like ice cubes.
It was a fun evening at Unwine’d and Tap in Marietta, GA. Great selection of wines and tapas. A wonderful way to spend an evening with great friends. It’s great to live in an area where there is so much to choose from. I especially love the unique restaurants that offer something different from the everyday. We have been to this one several times because of the good service and consistently good food. Would love to hear how you dress for girl’s night and where you go.
Another beautiful day in Atlanta! Since it is a three day weekend, we decided we would visit some brewpubs downtown. First stop was The Torched Hop. What a beautiful interior. There were so many unique decorations in there. Will post those later.
Second stop was The Wrecking Bar which is in an old southern house. There are brick walls in the pub downstairs and the house has a beautiful porch and white columns as you can see in the picture above.
Since the weather was so warm, I wore a light weight sweater from Banana Republic outlet and a gray blazer from Penney’s. The yellow bag is from Francesca’s that I received as a birthday gift a couple of years back. The belt is Vince Camuto and the black oxfords are Anne Klein. I’ve had them for a while but always seem to forget about them. But they are so comfortable, I need to wear them more often. This time of the year, it’s always good to dress in layers. The afternoons are warm and then it gets cold at night.
What a great way to spend the day with friends and celebrating a birthday too!
What a beautiful day we had in Atlanta. Temperature in the mid 70’s in January. So my husband and I decided to take advantage of it and go to some antique stores in Chamblee. I wore this casual winter outfit of distressed jeans by Kensie, the tee shirt from Loft outlet and the shoes are Banana Republic. This is an outfit I could easily wear all year around. I got the purse from T.J. Maxx. I love leopard print and think it adds a little something extra to an outfit.
We had such a fun day looking at all of the antiques and then had lunch at a cute little pizza place. Chamblee is such a cute little part of town and the shops had such one of a kind, unique items.
Weather like this in January is something I could definitely get used to. I am a summer girl so days like make me happy!
I bought this long pink sweater cardigan at TJ Maxx a couple of months ago. Paired with a black turtleneck from Ann Taylor Factory it makes a pretty winter style. Looking forward to spring, I’ll probably wear it with a cute tee shirt and maybe some distressed white pants. I love that it is so versatile and can be worn for several seasons. I added a little glitz with the necklace that picks up the pink in the sweater. In addition, I wore black suede booties from Vince Camuto, which are cute and comfortable too. I have several animal print belts. They always add a little something extra to a wardrobe. Here I chose a thin leopard print one.
I recently bought this sweater from Marshall’s just to wear with jeans. Then I looked through my closet and saw these pants I had bought over the summer at New York & Company. I think they work really well with the sweater and I love the zipper detail on them. Too many times I will wear my clothes in just one season but many of them will work all during the year. To stretch my wardrobe, I am trying to come up with different combinations with a lot of pieces that I already have. To add some color I added this red wool coat a friend gave me. I think the combination makes a cute winter outfit. For a little sparkle I added a silver and pearl necklace. To finish it off, I wore black high heeled booties. It’s an outfit I can wear out to dinner or meeting with clients.
Great afternoon in Atlanta at the Rooftop in Ponce City Market.
Inside Ponce City Market wearing an orange blazer and knee high black suede boots.
