I recently bought this little accent leopard print pillow for my master bedroom. I’ve had this bedding that I use in the winter time for a couple of years now. I like it but just wanted a something to make it look different.
Leopard Print Accent
Leopard print always stands out. But I almost always use it as an accent because too much of it can be overwhelming. Soon I’ll switch to my spring & summer bedding. But for right now, I’ll be satisfied with this. I found the pillow at HomeGoods for $17.00. I also got the yellow accents pillows from there. The duvet, pillow shams and gray quilt are from Target. The euro shams from Stein Mart are zippered to make washing them easy. I also use the euro shams in the summer.
I got these flowers marked down at a grocery store and put together this pretty winter floral arrangement. While they had many different color of arrangements, for some reason, I just have a thing for green flowers. Love them mixed with white or pink. There are many varieties of the bark covered vases, I have five or six various sizes. Because I like them so much, I knew I had to have this one I found on a getaway to Highlands, North Carolina. My husband and I went into an adorable little flower and gift shop and I saw this and had to purchase it. It has several different cylinders, with three of them having test tubes in them for water for fresh flowers. In addition, I put dried natural stems in the other cylinders.
Brighten up with winter floral arrangement
Since these marked down flowers are inexpensive, I like to buy them in the winter to brighten up the house. While they might not last long, they make me smile when I see them. Also, I like to put fresh flowers in my guest bedrooms when relatives and friends visit.
I always love the start of the new year. A time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished in the last year and plan our goals for the new year. I am definitely reinventing myself this year. I have started this new fashion and design blog and I am beginning my training as a real estate agent this month. I am taking a leap of faith and turning my passions into my careers. I started as an accountant and then had my own interior decorating company for many years. I am so looking forward to helping clients with staging and selling their homes and helping them find their dream homes. I also absolutely love fashion and don’t think that it should end at a certain age. I get asked often where I shop so I look forward to sharing my outfits and advice on where to shop for the best deals. I love duplicating a high end look with affordable pieces.
So with my new 2017 planner and notebook full of ideas, I plan on setting new goals and mapping out a successful, happy year and I hope you can do the same.
Guest rooms all ready for my family on Thanksgiving!
I am in the process of transitioning from Thanksgiving decorating to Christmas. I haven’t decorated much for Christmas in the last couple of years but will do so this year since my family will be staying with me. I’m excited about getting out all of my decorations and planning the menu’s. Before I post pictures of my Christmas season, I want to share my Thanksgiving tablescapes from this year and the past two years. The light orange pumpkins above were actually grown by us. We had a vine start growing in the summertime and had no idea what it was. So we waited and harvested four pumpkins in time for Thanksgiving this year.
