I recently bought this sweater from Marshall’s just to wear with jeans. Then I looked through my closet and saw these pants I had bought over the summer at New York & Company. I think they work really well with the sweater and I love the zipper detail on them. Too many times I will wear my clothes in just one season but many of them will work all during the year. To stretch my wardrobe, I am trying to come up with different combinations with a lot of pieces that I already have. To add some color I added this red wool coat a friend gave me. I think the combination makes a cute winter outfit. For a little sparkle I added a silver and pearl necklace. To finish it off, I wore black high heeled booties. It’s an outfit I can wear out to dinner or meeting with clients.
My husband and I met his daughter and fiance at Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. They are looking at their event room for their wedding ceremony and reception. I was a little apprehensive when she told me about it but when I saw it, I got it. She wants a fun and laid back ceremony and this place is perfect for that.
Tie One On!
I wanted something fun and casual to wear so I chose my army green vest with white pants. I purchased the pants from New York & Co last year. They are so versatile and I wear them all year long.
I love this wall with Tie One On.
The graphic tee has some gold trim on it which I love.
I kept the look casual with a pair of gray sneakers.
Last Friday my husband and I met friends at a local brewery so I wanted something fun to wear. I had stopped by Target earlier in the day and saw this cute navy short jumpsuit on sale. Even though it is not something I would usually buy, I wanted something different. It was another warm October evening so this was perfect opportunity to wear it. We are so lucky to live in an area where we can easily get to three little town squares that are full of shops and restaurants.
Suede camel wedges
Last Friday was the last concert on the square in Marietta. It was such a pretty evening with great music and great friends. So I am wearing the last of my late summer outfits and transitioning to fall. I bought these Aztec print shorts and red off the shoulder top at New York & Company last year. I love the off the shoulder tops but do find it hard to keep them in place. I used fashion tape which does help.
Black tassel low heel shoes
I’m still loving tassels so when I saw these Anne Klein shoes at Marshalls, I had to have them. I also like the low heel which makes them great for a lot of different outfits and looks. I got the necklace on clearance at Charming Charlie.
This past weekend, my husband, my mom and I went to Ponce City Market in Atlanta. It is such a fun place with fantastic views of Atlanta from the rooftop. It is full of shops and restaurants and just a great place to walk, eat, shop and people watch. I wore this little black patterned cold shoulder dress with tan perforated booties. The day was absolutely beautiful and very warm for this time of the year. I love summer and hate for it to end, but I do like fall and fall clothes. Winter, I can do without!!
Beautiful Sunny Day
Orange Clutch, Tan Booties
The accessories I chose were these tan Esprit perforated booties I got from TJ Maxx on clearance. In addition I carried this cute little orange suede clutch with jewel closure and gold chain. To top it off, I wore gold earrings to match the clutch.
Fun Evening Out in Navy Floral Sundress
While visiting my brother in Montgomery, Al, we went out to dinner and I wore this navy floral sundress I got from Marshalls. It is so comfortable and I love the color of the flowers. And I think the opening at the leg adds to the look of the dress. Once again, I wore my pale pink sandals with the zipper and tassels in the back. I couldn’t decide between wedge sandals or these, but I think the color was perfect for this dress.
I love this photo because of the unusual tree. Great for a background.
For the accessories, I chose this pale pink clutch from BCBG and the sunglasses are Jones. I love the clutch because it is just big enough to hold all of my stuff!
Recently I took a trip to Montgomery, AL to visit my brother who was moving to Florida. It was our last time to visit his house as he had recently sold it. It was so bittersweet! I was so happy for him but hated that he had to leave his house that he had worked to hard on. He installed ceiling speakers in every room and we listened to Bossa Nova as we drank wine, laughed and enjoyed our last time there.
Cold Shoulder Top
It was a beautiful day, so I wore this cute little cold shoulder top I bought at Glitzy Chiks. I love shopping at the end of seasons because I always find such good deals. It has feathers on it and I love anything with feathers. Feather always remind me of my father who loved birds. I paired it with these Kensie distressed denim shorts which I wear a lot because they are so comfortable.
A few weeks ago, my friends and I went out to dinner at the Marietta Square. It was a beautiful warm evening so I wore denim shorts from New York & Company. The shirt was Willi Smith from T.J. Maxx. I purchased the shorts last year and the shirt recently. I thought they went together really well and were perfect for the evening.
The weather was perfect so after dinner, we had drinks on the rooftop of The Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square. I love summer and summer clothes. The sandals are Rock and Candy from Marshalls. Tassels are so trendy right now and I’m kinda obsessed with them.
We all had a great evening listening to live music and enjoying the wonderful view!
I recently bought this little accent leopard print pillow for my master bedroom. I’ve had this bedding that I use in the winter time for a couple of years now. I like it but just wanted a something to make it look different.
Leopard Print Accent
Leopard print always stands out. But I almost always use it as an accent because too much of it can be overwhelming. Soon I’ll switch to my spring & summer bedding. But for right now, I’ll be satisfied with this. I found the pillow at HomeGoods for $17.00. I also got the yellow accents pillows from there. The duvet, pillow shams and gray quilt are from Target. The euro shams from Stein Mart are zippered to make washing them easy. I also use the euro shams in the summer.
For a weekend shopping and dinner I chose this navy blue blazer with distressed jeans and a graphic tee. Love graphic tees under blazers. It completes a casual look.
The blazer and tee I got from TJ Maxx. I also pair the blazer with a gray turtleneck or a burgundy cami. Blazers are great when the temperature goes up and down. Just slip it off when it gets too warm. I have several more in my closet that I need to style with pieces I have not used with them before.
The shoes are Nine West from DSW. As far as heels go, they are very comfortable and add a little something extra to an outfit. For a pop of color, I chose a skinny orange belt that completes the look.
